Green Warriors Club is an environmental society established to work towards change and make the world a better place by conserving the environment. They focus on being the solution with 'Greener the Present, Better the Future' as their motto. The society works by hands-on efforts by its members to combat environmental issues by reclamation of wasteland by plantation drives, plant adoption campaigns, generation of environmental awareness regarding different issues, collaborative projects with NGOs and other environmental organizations, etc. The club works at various parameters related to the superintendence of Green Earth. During two years, this society initiated several events and campaigns such as ‘Plant Adoption Campaign’, ‘Plant Giveaway’ Drive, ‘Plant Care Series’ to allow students to take responsibility for preserving nature, ‘Plantation drives’ to showcase that even a small facilitative hand can bring a change where several such plants were sown to develop the native flora. ‘Project Eco-Brick’, ‘Waste Collection Drives’ in awareness of waste collection and disposal. With this, GWC has organized events to Reuse non-cyclable items like ‘Trashion’ or ‘Trash to treasure’ to help combat the pollution caused by plastic by keeping them out of the ecosystem and preventing contamination of the environment. Green Warriors Club organized various insightful and informative webinars on Environmental laws and Planet protection, Climate change, World Clean-up Day to generate awareness about managing solid waste including problems of marine debris, etc. This society’s Annual Fest MIDORI showcases eco-friendly ways to hold a fest, collaborating with NGOs and enlightening students with the beauteousness of nature and encouraging them to find solutions to the environmental crisis.
