The Society is committed towards the refinement of the sports infrastructure, athletes, and providing new and advanced opportunities in the arena; however, it is not limited to the department of Sports and accommodates all those who have the germ of brilliance and the inquisitiveness to excel. Functioning as the Sports Society of the college which is renowned to have the finest sports arena in the University circuit, they have organized events of sweeping magnitude. Having their aim fixed to equate the importance of scholastics with exercise, they have managed to transcend the awareness about sports and its activities on all platforms in all formats
Yoga week was celebrated from 17th June to 21st June. On the occasion of international yoga day, this 5-day event was organized to motivate students and teachers to develop awareness, flexibility, and positivity in their surroundings.
The Hansraj sports society organized this webinar amidst a global pandemic to help people cope with the situation of quarantine where mental health had become a matter of urgent attention. This was organized in collaboration with the experts of BLK Multi-specialty hospital.
On the occasion of Independence Day Hansraj College and Hansraj sports society in collaboration with fit India mission organized fit India freedom Run 2.0. This was conducted as an online run for a cause event where every distance covered by a person helped that person donate a small amount of money to those who are in need.
SPARDHA'21 was organized on the occasion of National Sports Day. There were four amazeballs competitions namely, Running Competition, Skipping Competition, Plank hold Competition, and Football Juggling Competition. With its PAN India nature, the event succeeded in re-establishing the enthusiasm of Sports in the general masses.
Recuperating from the pandemic, the Hansraj Sports Society gained back its track with the Basic Life Support Training Session where the expert from BLK Multi-specialty Hospital Dr. Vinu Varghese had an intriguing talk with the audience about the primary steps that should be taken care of in case of a medical emergency.
The Hansraj College in collaboration with the Union Health Ministry of India organized a ‘Mental Health Week’ on 8th October 2021. The event was inaugurated by the honorable Health minister Shri Mansukh Mandaviya Ji. Green ribbons were distributed to emphasize the significance and need of taking care of our mental health and tackling it.
