Course objectives

This Photography and Filmmaking courseis offered by the Hansraj College(HRC) in association with the RKFMA. Curriculum shall be taught by experts and experienced trainers from DSLR photography and filmmaking field. Learners are also advised to procure their own DSLR camera units as well for practicals and learning that shall assist them in learning hands-on during the practical classes.

Course Contents / Topics of Discussion/ Softwares training on:

  • Basic functions of a DSLR Camera
  • Understanding a DSLR & related hardware, lenses, gears like tripod, lights, flash
  • Need and appropriate use of an on-camera flash
  • Understand focal length and optical verses digital zoom
  • Differences in types of photographic lenses for an interchangeable lens camera
  • Framing &Composing techniques
  • Rule of Thirds
  • Photography in Natural Lighting
  • Motion and depth of field
  • Photographic subject matter such as portraits, documentary, food, macro
  • Editing programs and apps like Photoshop
  • Video Editing Fundamentals
  • Common memory cards and camera compatibilities
  • Digital Filmmaking using DSLR
  • Aesthetics of Film Direction

Course Tuition Fee:Rs. 45,000/-

Eligibility

10+2 pass candidates (from any stream or subjects) or equivalent can apply to join this course in Photography & Filmmaking. Candidates appearing or appeared in qualifying exams (i.e.10+2) may also apply.

Students pursuing degree or diploma courses from any colleges, institutes, departments or other universities or institutes may also apply. Recent graduates from various degree courses may also be considered for taking admission.

Applicants may be subject to screening for these Certificate Courses by the Hansraj College after 12th offered through offline and online classes.

Class Mode

Classes shall be offered both through offline and online modes. 2-3 classes per week of around 1.5 hours per class shall be conducted on weekly basis. Weekend class schedules or after regular college hours class schedules may also be offered subject to availability of batches.

Course Duration

Overall 72 hours course duration including mix of tutorials, practical, field visits, assignments, online videos, live classes, discussions, seminars, etc usually covered within a period of 6-8 months (or lesser duration) varying on the number of classes conducted per week.

Students shall be kept informed on available work-opportunities whether in form of jobs, internships, freelancing projects or assignments etc. from time to time.
