Madhavi is an economist with over 12 years of experience in teaching varied subjects like Applied Econometrics, Indian Economy, Development Economics, Public Finance and Microeconomics.  Her interest in and fascination for Economics was infused by her school economics teacher whose teaching style and attitude towards her students made Madhavi fall in love with the subject, a love that was instrumental in her taking up teaching as a profession. 

Madhavi holds an M. Phil from JNU, a master’s degree in Economics from Delhi School of Economics and a Master of Science from the University of Nottingham, UK, with a Merit in Econometrics. She specializes in Econometrics and is driven by a passion to create change for student life betterment. She aspires to be a part of effective policymaking in the future. 

In her spare time, Madhavi enjoys her Bharatanatyam practice, reading, cooking traditional south Indian delicacies and hopes to come out with a Tamil cuisine book soon.

Title of MPhil dissertation: An Analysis of Transmission of International Price on Domestic Price of Rice and Wheat in India

The dissertation is done under Dr. Surajit Das. The study assessed the extent of integration using wholesale price series
and the existence of Asymmetric Price Transmission.
